Haus One – Modern Australian House

About the project

With a background in Interior Design Architecture and Building, Samantha Milne Interiors, has completed a stunning house project within two months in Youngtown, Tasmania. The overall brief was to create a light and welcoming space that is timeless and neutral.

The inspiration is drawn from a range of Australian designers and the client’s history. The house speaks to a wide audience and allows for the user to add their own homely touch.

The ideal style of the house is Modern Australian. It is refined and simple with lots of functionality. It has clean lines and modern features, but the handmade tile splashback brings in the uneven element of nature, whilst the Tasmanian Oak coloured cabinetry brings in the warmth of earthy materials.

The curved island bench with timber paneling that pairs beautifully with the Organic White benchtop is complemented with our Ledge pull handles that creates sleek and modern atmosphere to the kitchen. The kitchen features two toned cabinetry. The white cabinetry is adorned with Matt White Ledge handles, and Tasmanian Oak cabinetry is adorned with Satin Stainless Steel Ledge handles.

The clean lines and modern features can be seen in the rest of the house. The secret walk-in pantry and bathroom have the warm toned timber with our Ledge handles which soften the space.
